Fabian Rodriguez

Fabian Rodriguez is a photojournalist, contributing his artistic eye and story telling expertise to Wine Along The 101.  Every vintage tells a new story, and Fabian trains his lens on the artistry and vision of the winemaker, using his skills of observation and life experience to create compelling images, in still photos and video, a talent that was honed over decades in TV News.

Fabian was the ultimate newshound.  He spent over 37 years as a TV News Photographer for NBC4 TV News in Los Angeles, working to bring the important stories of the day to the public.  From chasing down breaking news, interviewing newsmakers and celebrities, field producing, editing, and going live on a variety of news stories, Fabian’s story telling instincts and photography skills won him recognition in his field.

Retiring recently from his illustrious career, Fabian is turning his focus to wine, and the stories behind the bottle.  He’s on the hunt for what makes wine unique, a journey that begins in the vineyard and ends in the cellar, but continues on with drinking and sharing the wine.

For over a decade, he has contributed to Wine Along The 101 as a labor of love, field producing coverage of wine festivals and vineyard visits, shooting videos and photos that added new insight, and brought his own perspective to the world of wine through the visual medium.  And now, he’s channelling his visual impressions and creative spirit to a new audience, conveying to wine drinkers everywhere the “who, what, where, how and why” of wine.  And always with a sense of humor and a smile, he'll disarm you with his charm!
